Dr Rachel Farrell is a consultant neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic London Hospital. She has special interest in neurological rehabilitation, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spasticity, stroke, and other aspects of neurodisability.
Dr Farrell completed her undergraduate medical studies at the National University of Ireland, and undertook her general medical and early specialist neurology training in Ireland. She moved to the UK in 2004 to pursue her PhD on multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at the University College London Institute of Neurology. She completed a fellowship in neurorehabilitation to further hone her expertise, shortly before her appointment as a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square.
Dr Farrell offers many neurorehabilitation services for patients with neurological conditions due to injury, stroke, movement disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cerebral palsy. She is particularly interested in walking impairment and spasticity management, utilising techniques such as Botox and intrathecal therapies.
