Mr Rupesh Bhatt is a highly experienced consultant urological surgeon based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, where he has been serving since 2006 and at The Harborne Hospital.

Specialising in uro-oncology and laparoscopic urology, Mr Bhatt provides expert care in the treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and other urological cancers. His practice extends to performing procedures such as vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, and circumcision, serving patients across Birmingham, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and Staffordshire. His commitment to patient care is defined by open communication, compassion, and the delivery of innovative, high-quality treatment.

He hails from Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, and completed his education at King Edward's School, Edgbaston, before obtaining his master's degree and medical training at Cambridge University. Following his training in London and Birmingham, he advanced his expertise in uro-oncology during his senior training at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, under Professor Noel W Clarke. Additionally, he undertook a prestigious fellowship in laparoscopic uro-oncology in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Bhatt holds a doctorate in prostate cancer stem cell research and has contributed extensively to the field through numerous publications and presentations on both national and international platforms. His work has earned him several awards and over £70,000 in research grants.

He is actively engaged in shaping the field of urological surgery, having played a key role in drafting national guidelines for surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
