I’ve just had my left hip replaced by Mr Nawaz via NHS Choose and Book. I’ve have felt comfortable ever since our first consultation 10 months ago, his expertise was obvious, his 1-1 demeanour is charming and he clearly explained the journey we have been on. This has allowed me to feel part of the process rather than having something “done to me” that was not clear.
He is enthusiastic about his specialty, obviously taking great pride in helping his patients improve their ability to live pain free and with greater mobility. I have been particularly touched by the empathy he has shown to me, making me feel he cares personally about a successful outcome. A bond of trust between patient and specialist I am sure helps with recovery and I feel very lucky and grateful to be in his care.

I’m a little late writing this feedback, but it’s worthwhile anyway.
Mr Desai undertook a rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder. He was quite stern with his instructions afterwards, and rhe results of this have been shown to pay off 6 months later. Full recovery.
