What we are not…

We are not a medical insurance company, an online medical consultancy, a patient forum, and we are certainly not just another list or online directory of doctors. Doctors cannot become part of our team simply by paying, they are selected by us from the very top.

What makes Top Doctors unique?

The key difference is that at Top Doctors, we only have top level doctors. All the medical specialists who form part of our medical team have passed a rigorous selection process that ensures this level of quality.

Are all the doctors at Top Doctors private?

Yes, all our members offer private medical assistance. Many of them also offer public medical services in public institutions, as you can see in their professional history on their profile. We provide access to private medicine so that you can choose the best specialist for your particular case and the time and day of your visit.

Do doctors pay for membership?

No. Being part of the Top Doctors medical team is by invitation only. It has no cost: all doctors that fit our criteria can be featured free of charge, as we believe that patients have the right to access reliable information on the world’s best doctors. Each doctor also has the choice to opt for exclusive services like tailored digital marketing packs, if they so choose, which do have a cost.

Our team will help you to select the best doctor in the specialty you require, nationally or internationally, and they will put you in touch with them so that you can book an appointment.

What are the benefits of contacting a doctor via our website?

We offer online booking and up to date information about the UK’s best doctors. We also provide the latest in technology and eHealth, reliable information regarding treatments written by doctors themselves, as well as exclusive membership services that make the whole process as easy as possible. 

What are the advantages of having a Top Doctors account?

• You can book appointments with one click, as your details will be stored.
• You can save your favourite doctors and medical centres. This avoids last minute searching for addresses and telephone numbers.
• You can check, change or cancel your appointments at any time, from any device.
• You can check your appointment history: all the details of all the doctors you visited in the past.
• We send you a text reminder the day before the appointment.
• You can make a comment or recommendation regarding your visit. This way you know that you are helping other patients to make an informed choice, and verifying the recommendation process.
• Even if you do not have an account, the system will autofill your details if you are a returning patient (see our Privacy Policy for more details).

I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

Follow these steps:

• 1. Click on My Account which you will find at the top of the page
• 2. Underneath the fields for entering your account details, you can see the I have forgotten my password link
• 3. Click on it and enter your email address
• 4. You will shortly receive an email with a link to change your password

How can I modify my details?

Follow these steps:

• 1.- Click on My Account which you will find at the top of the page
• 2.- If you are not signed in yet, fill in your email address and password to access your Top Doctors account
• 3.- Once you are logged in, you can modify all your details using the My Details option

How can I unsubscribe?

To unsubscribe from Top Doctors, please send an email to [email protected]. We will delete your account as soon as possible. You may receive some information which was pending at the time of your request in the days following your request, but you will be fully unsubscribed within 15 days of the receipt of your request. This means that your data will be blocked, and we will only keep the information which is legally required.
