Cervical stitching and pregnancy: preventing pre-term labour
Cervical cerclage is a surgical procedure performed at about 12-15 weeks into the pregnancy, inserting a stitch to the cervix to try and keep it closed. Dr Vasso Terzidou, expert in premature birth, explains.
