FirstFit dental veneers are at the cutting-edge of smile design treatments, offering speedy results and minimal preparation of your natural teeth. In this informative article, highly respected dentist Mr Hatem Abdellatif, one of only a handful of UK dentists offering this innovative treatment, shares his expert insight on the advantages of FirstFit dental veneers and explains how they are fitted in just one appointment.

What are FirstFit dental veneers?

FirstFit porcelain veneers is a system which uses digital smile design and digital precision when we prepare your teeth for treatment. It's the latest addition to digital smile designs when it comes to smile makeovers.

In a nutshell, after we have prepared your smile mock-up, the next step is for to you approve it and ensure you are happy with the shapes of your teeth, the lengths, the colour, and so on. Once that's done, we ask our digital lab to make the porcelain veneers and the necessary stents. The stents are required as there is barely any preparation for your teeth and the principal advantage of this system is that it is very minimally invasive.

As opposed to what you might have seen in the news, where a lot of the enamel or teeth structure is removed, this system ensures that we do the absolute minimum when we are preparing your teeth for treatment.

Once we have prepared the teeth, we fit your porcelain veneers in the same appointment. This is one of the nicest things about the FirstFit system - everything is done from start to finish within ninety minutes up to two hours. This is great for patients as it means they don't need to have temporary veneers or go away and come back a couple of weeks later to have the final product fitted. In fact, everything is done for you in that single appointment and it's the latest technology when it comes to porcelain veneers.
