Dermatoconjuntivitis contact
The contact dermatoconjuntivitis is a skin disorder that occurs in the eyelid and conjunctiva (mucous membrane covering the eyeball). As a result of friction in those areas we provoke an inflammation of the eyelid and tearing occurs, usually caused by a substance previously applied in the area, as some eye medications to treat the beginning of this process, makeup or the instruments these products are applied. Diagnosis is accomplished by performing the patch test and eliminating, at first, the patient's exposure to each and every one of the aforementioned agents, introducing them back gradually and observing if the symptoms keep coming back. The treatment is to avoid the offending agent that causes, and medical management of low potency corticosteroid creams.
