Mr Chukwuemeka Nnene is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in lower limb orthopaedic surgery.

Patients seek out his leading expertise for a wide variety of lower limb conditions, including knee pain, hip pain, knee osteoarthritis, hip arthritis, meniscal injury and bursitis, to name a few. Mr Nnene is a regular provider of basic and complex joint replacements. Throughout his career, he has acquired leading professional expertise in hip replacement and knee replacement, as well as revision hip joint replacement. He has skills in knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty for the hip and knee. He is also an excellent trauma surgeon offering reconstruction after the effects of trauma and injury.

Additionally, he is an expert in the foot and ankle, performing foot and ankle fusion and surgery for bunions (hallux valgus), ankle arthritis, foot arthritis, ligament injuries and forefoot pain.  

Mr Nnene maintains an interest in general orthopaedic pathology including rotator cuff pathology, shoulder impingement, tennis and golfers elbow, dupuytrens disease, and cubital and carpal tunnel syndrome with excellent outcomes. He has received Clinical excellence awards from his employer for his achievements and is also an expert in medico-legal services. 

Mr Nnene is a member of both the public and private health sectors. He has worked at the James Paget University Hospital since 2009, where he has been lead clinician for the department as well as for education and trauma.
