Mr Jayesh Khistria is a consultant orthoptist who specialises in treating strabismus, amblyopia, paediatric ophthalmology, and vision therapy. He runs the EyeSquint clinic and practices at several locations in London.
Mr Khistria graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008 and continued his studies by undertaking a master’s degree in clinical ophthalmology at the University College London which he completed in 2011. He began his orthoptics career at the Oxford Eye Hospital before working at the esteemed Moorfields Eye Hospital, covering a varied and complex patient group alongside the top UK surgeons for squint. He continues to be a consultant orthoptist for the Moorfields South NHS Trust, overseeing patients across Moorfields, St George’s, and Croydon hospitals.
Mr Khistria is particularly renowned for being the first specialist in the country in advanced neuro-ophthalmology, and has further clinical interest in stroke and orbital fracture patients. He is also an honorary lecturer at UCL for orthoptic undergraduates. Mr Khistria is dedicated to patient care and tailors his treatment plans to suit the needs of his patients.
