Dr Omar Din (Shujja-Ud-Din) is an expert consultant clinical oncologist with over 20 years of experience, practising at Sheffield Oncology at Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield. Dr Din is highly experienced in the treatment of many types of cancer, especially prostate, bladder, kidney, and breast cancer with some of the most advanced non-surgical treatment techniques using radiotherapy and chemotherapy.  

Graduating from the University of Sheffield in 1997, Dr Din went on to complete specialist training in clinical oncology at Weston Park Cancer Centre in Sheffield and Christie Hospital in Manchester. After undertaking a clinical research fellowship in breast cancer endocrine therapy, Dr Din was awarded an MD for his research at Sheffield and Leeds Cancer Centres from the University of Sheffield in 2010.  

Dr Din was then appointed as a consultant and honorary senior lecturer in clinical oncology in 2010 at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Before joining Sheffield Oncology, Dr Din was the lead clinician and strategic lead for radiotherapy at Weston Park Cancer Centre. He prides his clinical work on the provision of the most cutting-edge treatments for his patients.  

Additionally, he remains actively involved in clinical trials and research and has been the local principal investigator on several national clinical trials. He has been a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists since 2005. He is responsible for the training of junior doctors, medical students, and advanced clinical practitioners.
