Dr Weerakoon qualified in medicine in 1993. She is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the British Society of Rheumatology, Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis and the British Society for SpondyloArthritis. She is also a professional member of Versus Arthritis and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society. Dr Weerakoon’s expert care has been recognised with Quality of Care and Clinical Excellence awards.

I saw Dr Anita Weerakoon today at 11am at The Nuffield I would just like to feedback: Dr Anita Weerakoon was wonderfully compassionate & extremely kind . Her bedside manner was faultless she listened attentively and accurately and she put me totally at ease where it felt as though there was no hierarchy. I totally respected her opinions and valued her expertise the expertise I was looking for . She was thorough and thoughtful throughout the consultation with clear considerations of my needs , setting action plans and goals together with requesting further tests inline with my presenting symptoms .
