Dr. Anthony Kupelian is a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, specializing in urogynaecology, with advanced accreditation in this field. He serves as the clinical lead for the Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Unit at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). His expertise includes minimally invasive laparoscopic urogynaecological surgery, alongside a comprehensive range of treatments—both surgical and non-surgical—for conditions such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders.
Dr. Kupelian graduated with commendation in Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Liverpool in 1999. He completed his higher specialist training in North West London, followed by a fellowship in urogynaecology at UCLH. In 2009, he became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), receiving a Presidential Letter of Merit. His research at University College London (UCL), where he earned a PhD, focused on the link between urinary tract infections (UTIs) and chronic urinary symptoms. Currently, he runs a specialized clinic for women with recurrent UTIs and complex pelvic symptoms, adopting a multidisciplinary approach alongside experts in gynecology, urology, gastroenterology, and pain management.
