Mr Charles Gibbons is a leading consultant orthopaedic hip and knee surgeon based in London, who specialises in sports knee surgery, including meniscal, ligament and patellofemoral disorders, alongside knee replacement surgery (both partial and total), cemented and uncemented hip replacement and patient-specific total knee replacement. He privately practises at New Victoria Hospital while his NHS base is Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Gibbons is highly qualified with an MB BS from the University of London, and a FRCS and FRCS (Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons. He undertook his fellowship training in Australia, where he trained in knee surgery for six months at The Austin and Repatriation Hospital (Melbourne), and in adult reconstruction surgery at The Royal Adelaide Hospital for a further six months.
He is a respected name in clinical teaching. He has been a faculty member of arthroscopic surgery knee courses at Cheltenham, Stanmore and Kingston Hospital, and is a workshop faculty member on the Oxford Partial Knee course.
Mr Gibbons is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Orthoapedic Association and the British Association of Knee Surgery.
