Mr Crispin Southgate is an extensively trained and highly skilled consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon in Ashford and Cranbrook. He has more than 20 years of experience in the subspecialist area of ankle and foot surgery.
His clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of bunion surgery, tendon issues, ankle arthritis, foot arthritis and Morton's neuroma. He is also experienced in treating sports injuries of the ankle.
Mr Southgate graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine with his specialist surgical training taking place in Swansea and Cardiff. He then underwent extensive higher surgical training on the South East Thames training circuit. His interest in foot and ankle surgery developed during a fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, gaining exposure and specialist training across the full range of adult foot and ankle pathology.
Scientific research is another element of Mr Southgate's medical career. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and meetings, and also published his research in renowned peer-reviewed journals.
