Professional statement
Mr Jonathan Hutt is a leading consultant orthopaedic and specialist hip surgeon based in London with over 20 years’ experience. He consults privately at The Princess Grace Hospital, treating both adult and young patients with hip problems.
In the UK, Mr Hutt is one of only a few surgeons to have specialised in all aspects of hip surgery, including advanced joint preservation techniques such as minimally invasive periacetabular osteotomy for hip dysplasia, hip arthroscopy for femoro-acetabular impingement, and hip reconstruction. When joint preservation is not an option, Mr Hutt has extensive experience in hip replacement using both the direct anterior and the posterior approach. He also offers revision hip replacement procedures.
Mr Hutt originally qualified from the University of Oxford in 2000 and Imperial College London in 2003. He completed his orthopaedic training on the prestigious South West Thames deanery before going on to accomplish double fellowship training: in arthroplasty, joint preservation and lower limb reconstruction at Université de Montréal in Canada, and in young adult hip surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. As a prominent figure in his specialty, Mr Hutt was awarded with the distinguished Rothman-Ranawat travelling fellowship by the American Hip Society in 2022.
