Mr Mohamed Ismail is a leading, highly established consultant urological surgeon who specialises in kidney stone removal, laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic kidney removal, circumcision, bladder and kidney disease, as well as various benign prostate treatments. He currently practises at the Spire Portsmouth Hospital and the Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Mr Ismail has, thus far in his medical career, gained an impressively extensive amount of experience when it comes to both the management of various complex kidney stone diseases and laparoscopic (minimally invasive) treatment of not only kidney cancer but so too benign kidney diseases. The kidney and bladder expert graduated in 1999, successfully completing an MBChB in medicine at the Baghdad University. He then went on to achieve a PhD in urology in 2009 from the established University of Surrey.
Mr Ismail, who continues to perform a notably high amount of flexible ureteroscopy to primarily treat kidney stones, is also an expert in relation to performing minimally invasive surgery to treat non-functioning kidneys. His main clinical research interests throughout his medical career have included molecular and immunological prostate cancer treatment.
