Mr Amr Emara is a highly revered consultant urologist with notably extensive experience and expertise in prostatitis, prostate cancer, kidney stones, kidney removal and kidney disease. His practice encompasses Hampshire, Berkshire and London, having recently joined the Men’s Health team at OneWelbeck Clinic London.
In terms of education, Mr Emara successfully completed the European Board Fellowship and later the Royal College of Surgeons of England Fellowship in urology in 2012 after having already achieved a wealth of qualifications both in Egypt and in the UK. He obtained a MB BCh from the Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1998, before going on to complete a MRCS at the Royal college of surgeons of England in 2007.
Mr Emara undertook post-training fellowship at Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute in Guildford, focusing on this advanced treatment. Uro-Oncology Fellowship: He spent a year as a senior uro-oncology fellow at the University Hospital of South Manchester, gaining expertise in advanced renal and pelvic cancer surgery.
Impressively, Mr Emara uses both HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) and cryo ablative techniques for focal prostate cancer treatment and is highly skilled when it comes to the use of Greenlight Laser Therapy and Rezum treatments for benign enlargement of the prostate. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed publications and delivered podium presentations at both national and international meetings.
His work within Urology Partners allows him to work collaboratively with other consultant urologists to treat complex cases for kidney treatment and within The Hampshire Clinic he also works with fellow surgeons in other specialties for pseudonoma cases.
