Mr Palanisamy Ramesh is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in London, specialising in foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Ramesh received advanced surgical training in orthopaedic surgery in the South East Thames region, including at Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals in London, and completed a fellowship at Preston/Chorley hospitals. He was added to the specialist register for orthopaedic surgery in 2005. In addition to his work at Kingston Hospital, he practices privately at the New Victoria Hospital in Kingston, focusing on foot and ankle disorders, ankle arthroscopy, and sports injuries related to the foot and ankle.
In 2007, Mr Ramesh received the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society’s (AOFAS) international travelling fellowship, and in 2006, he was awarded the DePuy traveling fellowship. These fellowships provided him the opportunity to visit and train with several foot and ankle surgeons across North America, including in cities such as Columbus, Galveston, Houston, Minnesota, Toronto, Rochester, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, and Baltimore. Mr Ramesh is actively involved in clinical research and academic development, and he has presented his findings at Orthopaedic conferences both nationally and internationally.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS), the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA).
