Mr Peter Addison is an experienced consultant ophthalmic surgeon who specialises in the management of medical retina and uveitis disorders. He also takes special interest in diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, as well as retinal vein occlusions. After finishing his medical degree at Cambridge University, he undertook rigorous training in ophthalmology and surgical training while doing full-time research on the genetics of inherited cataracts at University College London (UCL), which earned him a medical doctorate. He continues to be involved in research and is clinical lead for the Moorfields Retinal Vein Occlusion service. Mr Addison is actively involved in education and is a clinical lecturer and is highly praised by his students.
