Dr Riaz Jan-Mohamed is a consultant haematologist at the London Haematology practice in Marylebone, who specialises in haemato-oncology, stem cell transplant, blood transfusions and B-cell lymphoma treatment.
Dr Jan-Mohamed qualified as a doctor in 1981 from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London. He trained in clinical haematology at King’s College Hospital London. Dr Jan-Mohamed facilitates the collections of stem cells from bone marrow and peripheral blood from normal volunteer donors so that unrelated patients with blood disorders may undergo allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.
Throughout his esteemed career, Dr Jan-Mohamed has held a number of senior positions, including head of department and clinical director at The Hillingdon Hospital. He has authored many peer-reviewed publications in the field of lymphoma, neutropenia, sepsis and haemato-oncology and was an honorary senior lecturer at The Royal Free Hospital and Imperial College and a clinic tutor for the Royal College of Pathologists.
