Mr Sam Nahas is a distinguished consultant orthopaedic knee surgeon based in Reading. His areas of expertise include knee pain, ACL reconstruction, joint injections, total and partial knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, sports injuries, knee fractures, osteotomy, and patella instability. Mr Nahas consults privately at Circle Reading Hospital and at Spire Dunedin Hospital.

With over 10 years’ experience, Mr Nahas originally qualified with an MBBS and an intercalated BSc from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Medical School. He completed his higher specialist training on the prestigious North West Thames trauma and orthopaedic rotation, before going on to complete a fellowship in knee surgery at Royal Berkshire Hospital, where he still serves as an NHS substantive consultant.

Mr Nahas holds esteemed fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. He is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and he holds a Master's of Education from Imperial College London. Additionally, Mr Nahas is the head of orthopaedics at Brunel University London. He also regularly attends international meetings on the latest knee surgery techniques and he is closely involved in ongoing clinical research projects.

In his clinical practice, Mr Nahas’ approach begins with taking a detailed medical history, conducting a thorough examination of the knee, and performing any necessary imaging studies to ensure a precise diagnosis. He works in close partnership with his patients, with compassion, empathy, and respect, as he guides his patients through every step of their treatment journey, from the initial consultation to their return to daily activity.
