Dr Smruta Shanbhag is a highly qualified and registered surgeon specialising in gynaecology and gynaecological oncology. She specialises in heavy periods, fibroids, abnormal smear tests, endometriosis, ovarian cancer, and colposcopy. She currently practises at The Harborne Hospital.
She graduated from Goa University in 1995 and pursued a postgraduate degree in Gynaecology in 1998, during which she conducted research on ultrasound examinations of pelvic masses. Her medical training began in Aberdeen, Scotland, focusing on obstetrics and gynaecology, and she completed her specialist training at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, earning certifications in both gynaecology and gynaecological oncology.
