Dr Stephen McAdoo is a highly revered and experienced consultant nephrologist and NIHR academic clinical lecturer in renal medicine who specialises in conditions such as vasculitis, chronic kidney disease, proteinuria, nephropathy, dialysis, as well as haematuria. He practises privately at the London-based The Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital.
Dr McAdoo, who qualified with distinction in 2004 after studying at the renowned University of Cambridge, was first officially appointed to the North Thames renal rotation in 2008. Notably, two years later, he was presented with the opportunity to undertake an MRC clinical research training fellowship at Imperial College London, which would eventually see him successfully complete a PhD in novel treatments for both glomerulonephritis and systemic vasculitis.
Dr McAdoo has published an extensive amount of publications to-date, and has been awarded a host of prestigious awards, including the Stewart Cameron Renal Clinical Science Prize, which was awarded to him by the Royal Society of Medicine in 2012. The esteemed Dr McAdoo also continues to strengthen his knowledge and overall level of expertise when it comes to renal medicine, and more specifically, pulmonary-renal syndrome.
