Mr Morapudi has been an orthopaedic surgeon in Macclesfield for many years, having qualified in India at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, a highly reputed medical institute, in 1998. He worked in rural setting in India in a mission hospital for three years, after which he gained experience in cardiac ICU. He undertook his Trauma and Orthopaedic training in the north-west of the UK and completed his specialist qualification - FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery.
To further consolidate his expertise and knowledge, he completed two fellowships for a period of 18 months in Melbourne in primary, complex and revision hip & knee replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, sports injuries and complex trauma.
Mr Morapudi is kind, caring, personable, empathetic, and takes time to listen. He is keen teacher and takes time to train the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.

My Hip Surgery Experience Background: I recently underwent hip replacement surgery at the Spire Hosptial, Chorlton, Manchester due to osteoarthritis, Pre-Surgery: From the initial consultation, I felt reassured, although nervous, but well-informed. Mr Moripudi provided a thorough explanations about the procedure, potential risks, and expected outcomes. This helped me feel reassured and at ease that after surgery I would be able to return to my activities of Yoga and Long Distance walking on a regular weekly basis. Surgery Day: On the day of the surgery, the staff were professional, compassionate, attentive, and reassuring. The process was seemless and I was kept informed at every step. The anesthesiologist and surgical team made sure I was comfortable and understood what to expect, both came to visit and explained what would be happening and how I should expect to feel. Post-Surgery: Recovery in the hospital was peaceful, comfortable, and extremely supportive. The pain was minimal, I was amazed at how little pain relief was required. Results: At eight weeks post-surgery, I was able to resume my Yoga and walking, building up to 20 mile walks within three months. I have never experienced any discomfort or pain, climbing fences and stiles have never been a problem thankfully. It is absolutely crucial that post surgery exercises are done every day to ensure a good recovery. Overall Experience: I am absolutely delighted with my hip surgery experience at the Spire, Chorlton.
