I received great care before and after my operation for a shoulder replacement, everything was explained very clearly and made sure I understood the process. I felt very confident that I was in safe hands. I would be very happy to treated by him again if the need arose

Mr Antonios was professional throughout my care under him. He communicated every step from pre operative to post operative. He explained how severe my break was and reassured me that I would receive the best possible care. One thing that stands out for me was his positivity and personal attention, always available and insisting that if I needed anything at all post-op, that I should get in touch.

I felt heard at long last! It was clear that Mr Antonio’s really cared about me & my broken shoulder. From beginning to end I knew I was in very good & safe hands. He was extremely knowledgeable & I trusted him 100%. He and his team went above & beyond to restore me to the person I was before I had such a horrible accident. Anyone fortunate enough to find themselves in his hands is very lucky indeed.

I had Mr Antonios as my surgeon for an operation on my broken wrist, which had started to heal incorrectly in the original cast. The hospital as a whole took very good care of me and I was lucky to be seen so quickly. Saturday I had an x-ray (I had broken it when abroad 2 weeks prior), Tuesday I was called in where I was advised surgery to correct the break, the following Monday (as in, less than 1 week) I had the surgery. I am very grateful I was accommodated so quickly, as my recovery has been sooner and I have been able to return to daily work/chores sooner. I can certainly speak to the surgery going extremely well, with no complications and I experienced very little pain in the weeks after. I am very sensitive to pain, so I took the prescribed pain killers the next day, but found I was in very little discomfort - in fact the most discomfort was in not being able to itch my arm, as I had had a nerve block (wore off 24 hours later). After this I took paracetamol for a couple of days, then didn't even bother with that. It is several weeks later and the only discomfort left is in the tendons and muscles that I am having to rehabilitate after so long in casts. I am really glad that I was recommended the surgery, the CT scan revealed that the bone had in fact shattered, was unsupported and had started to heal incorrectly. I have been to 6 weeks of physiotherapy, where I am expected to make a full recovery of motion and strength in my arm and hand. As an example, I could bend my hand back 35 degrees from 10 degrees, in 3 weeks that became 60, the goal is to match the other hand at 70. I had to have my bone re-broken in surgery, so experience such little discomfort is quite remarkable. Thank you, Mr Antonios - I am extremely grateful for your work and the recovery and use of my hand.

I felt that Dr Antonios had a clear plan for my treatment after I fractured my elbow. I was an extremely anxious patient and he took this into consideration when reviewing my progress after surgery. Although on many occasions I could tell how busy they were, I did not feel he was in a rush to discharge me or close my case which has been reassuring. If I were to need follow up care I would certainly be pleased for Dr Antonio’s to continue my care. I did experience a number of frustrations but this was due to the systems within the hospital and not as a result of the care I received from practitioners.

Mr Antonios carried out complex surgery on my shoulder Jan 2023 and his follow up care along with that of his team has been excellent, I have been reassured, kept informed and given honest information regarding my injury and the likely outcome. My injury was an accident and not a planned operation.
