Dr Vanja Giljaca is a consultant gastroenterologist and advanced interventional endoscopist at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB), with additional private practice at The Priory Hospital and The Harborne Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Rijeka, Croatia, in 2003, and completed his gastroenterology training there in 2015. 

Dr Giljaca went on to achieve a PhD at Royal Free Hospital, London, and has been working as a consultant at UHB since 2016. Dr Giljaca specialises in treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including dyspepsia, acid reflux, ulcer disease, liver and biliary system disorders (such as biliary stones), as well as precancerous gastrointestinal conditions, polyps, and early-stage cancers.
