Mr Muralidharan R Upendran is a leading consultant ophthalmologist. His areas of expertise include medical retina, glaucoma, eye infections, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma, and retinal vascular disease. He is also highly proficient in surgical retina and cataract surgery.
With over 20 years’ experience, Mr Upendran consults privately at Cathedral Eye Clinic, Hillsborough Private Clinic, Newry Private Clinic, and Kingsbridge Private Hospital. Since 2014, he also practises with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Notably, he further developed his expertise internationally at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai.
Mr Upendran originally qualified with an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore in 2000.
