Miss Asli Üçyigit is a highly skilled consultant gynaecologist with expertise in colposcopy and gynaecological ultrasound. A graduate of Imperial College London in 2008, she received a national research award from the charity CORE for her groundbreaking work conducted in Uganda during her medical training. Her clinical interests encompass a wide range of women’s health issues, including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, and menopause care. She is also adept at advanced procedures such as laparoscopic gynaecologic surgery, hysteroscopy, and cervical biopsy.
Miss Üçyigit’s proficiency in diagnosing and managing complex gynaecological conditions is bolstered by a two-year research fellowship at King’s College Hospital, where she specialised in advanced ultrasound scanning. She has published extensively in academic journals, contributed chapters to medical textbooks, and presented her findings at international conferences. In 2021, her innovative research on hyperemesis gravidarum was recognised with first prize at the Pan-London Obstetrics & Gynaecology Conference. Currently, she is pioneering research on integrating virtual reality to enhance the outpatient experience.
In addition to her clinical practice, Miss Üçyigit is an accredited colposcopist and a certified trainer with the BSCCP and RCOG. She actively mentors junior colleagues in colposcopy and cervical treatments, sharing her expertise to shape the next generation of specialists. She remains an active member of prominent professional organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).
