Dr Charlotte Whiteley is a leading chartered psychologist based in London and Lewes. She is the founder and clinical director of the renowned The Mindful Psychology Practice, where she consults privately. Her areas of expertise include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), couple therapy, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), mindfulness, anxiety, depression, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Dr Whiteley, who also offers gender dysphoria assessments and diagnosis, has over 10 years of experience spanning the NHS, private practice, and charity sectors, cultivating a deep understanding of diverse patient groups and their unique needs. She held a lead psychologist in pain management position at Whittington Hospital from 2020 to 2022. Previously, she served across various specialist units, including the Adult Gender Identity Clinic and St Ann’s Eating Disorder Service, and the Islington iCope IAPT Service, providing psychological support for a range of mental health needs.
Dr Whitely holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Couple and Family Therapy from Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Couple and Family Therapy, and a Counselling Psychology Doctorate from Surrey University.
