Mr John Dabis is an accomplished consultant knee surgeon with extensive expertise in treating a broad spectrum of knee conditions, including complex cases, revision surgeries, and paediatric knee issues. His main areas of expertise include knee pain, knee replacement surgery, knee surgery, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, and sports injuries. Mr Dabis privately practises at New Victoria Hospital in London.
He earned his medical degree with honors from Bart’s and the Royal London Medical School in 2006 and subsequently completed advanced orthopedic surgical training in South West London. This training included rotations through the region’s major trauma centre and the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Europe’s largest joint replacement facility. To further specialise, Mr Dabis completed two focused fellowships in knee surgery: one at the UK Osteotomy Centre in Basingstoke and another at the Brisbane Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre in Australia.
In 2017, he also notably undertook traveling fellowships, gaining insights from leading surgeons across France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and Austria. Mr. Dabis holds specialised training in trauma surgery, having completed the AO Trauma Fellowship in Boston, Massachusetts, affiliated with Harvard Trauma, as well as a trauma limb reconstruction fellowship in Pretoria, South Africa. In addition, he recently earned a master’s degree in sports and exercise medicine from University College London (UCL).
Mr Dabis is an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
