He then completed the RCOG accredited, specialist training in Advanced Laparoscopic/Hysteroscopic Surgery at John Radcliffe Hospital following his postgraduate medical training in the London and Eastern deaneries.
In addition to his consultant role in the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Arambage is the immediate passed Honorary Secretary at The British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, where he has been an active presence for more than a decade. As a committed Council Member at BSGE Mr Arambage is predominantly aiding the innovation of laparoscopic and hysteroscopic training and chairing awards and bursaries portfolio, amending the constitution of the BSGE to promote international collaboration and surgical innovation. He is also a member of the Medical Advisory Panel for Endometriosis UK and has been an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford.
Mr Arambage is a co-author for the fourth edition of the Oxford Handbook for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has also co-authored European guidelines on the management of distension media in operative hysteroscopy, a Cochrane review of the surgical treatment of endometriosis, and the RCOG consent guidelines for laparoscopic surgery. He has written book chapters and was invited to chair and present at many national and international conferences.
