Mr Ulrich Meyer-Bothling is a renowned consultant ophthalmic surgeon, founding member and past medical director of the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Service in Surrey. Mr Ulrich Meyer-Bothling originally studied in Hamburg, Germany where he obtained his medical degree and research PhD. He continued his studies at the University of Oxford, where he was awarded a Master of Science degree, and at Yale University and the University of Melbourne. He completed a fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, before being appointed consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I would have liked to have the three visits that I had with Mr Ulrich Meyer-Bothling all at same venue. Hampton Hill Medical Centre was the nearest but very difficult to park the car. Ashford and Cobham were both excellent.
