Mr Niaz Islam is a leading consultant ophthalmologist surgeon in London with a particular interest in medical retina and cataract surgery.
He graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, London in 1996 and trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital for eight years, including undertaking two medical retinal fellowships and as a locum consultant in 2007.
He was appointed a consultant in medical retina and cataract, and education supervisor and diabetic retinal clinical lead, 2007-13. In 2012 Mr Islam was nominated for a National Macular Disease Society Award by patients for excellent service delivery and clinical care.
